TGP were commissioned by AS Carmyle to undertake a development masterplan report for a proposed future housing development at the edge of Glasgow. The scale and density of future development was an integral part of the design process, influenced by the surrounding built form and site topography.
TGP is delighted to announce Glasgow City Council’s planning committee has awarded planning permission in principle for the redevelopment. The allocated Greenfield site had been promoted through the wider Community Growth Area.
TGP in partnership with ARM Architects were commissioned by AS Carmyle to undertake a development masterplan for the site. The scale and density of future development was considered as part of the design process, influenced by site relationship to surrounding built form, tree cover and topography. The landscape treatments on site aimed to; maximise green space for residents, ensure green corridors connect with all green spaces and with the river, retain and improve existing vegetation wherever possible. This landscape led approach introduced large areas of green space and informal parkland to integrate housing with existing urban edge and provided a framework for the development proposals.
