TGP Shortlisted for the Streetlife Design Competition

10th March 2025

The TGP Design Team—Aishwarya Kohli, Ezgi Ayden, Olga Martynenko and Rashmi Pai Dongerkerry—has been shortlisted for the Streetlife Design Competition. This prestigious competition invites young landscape architecture professionals to reimagine a “lost site” and transform it into a vibrant public space.

Our project “The Sensory Spine” focuses on the regeneration of the former Glasgow Botanic Gardens Railway Station in the city’s West End. Our vision seeks to breathe new life into this historic yet forgotten site, addressing contemporary needs while re-establishing it as a cultural landmark.

Today, the remnants of the railway station lie abandoned within the gardens, quietly awaiting revival. Our proposal transforms this derelict railway line into a thriving destination—one that promotes tourism, education and environmental awareness. By preserving its rich history while creating a greener, more connected urban space, we aim to seamlessly integrate this site into Glasgow’s already dynamic landscape.

As finalists, we have been invited to Leiden, Netherlands, to present our project before the jury on March 28th 2025. Winners will be announced following the presentations. Being shortlisted is an incredible achievement and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. Fingers crossed for March 28th!
