The proposed trail will aim to improve connectivity of the famous Maritime Quarter based within Inverness city centre.

In addition to improving connectivity, the exciting project also aims to improve the overall experience of cyclists and pedestrians using the trail walk between Shore Street, Cromwell Road and Longman Drive..

The trail will also form part of the National Cycle Network Route 1 (Lands End to John O’Groats) which is a popular route not just for tourists, but for commuters.

This thrilling addition is designed to promote active travel, whether you’re a seasoned cyclist, commuter or casual rider, this new experience offers picturesque views of the best Inverness has to offer.

The new trail promises to enhance the National Cycle Route while maximising connections between blue and green zones, the wider city centre and Merkinch.

We’re delighted to be working on this project and can’t wait to see the finished results – we might even get our bikes out just for the occasion!
